Wilderness Scotland New Walking Trips

Adventure travel specialist Wilderness Scotland has launched three new Wilderness Walking tours for 2018, each fully guided and all-inclusive.

For example, the ‘High Points of the Cairngorms National Park’ six-night trip features accommodation at a private lodge in Glen Feshie and climbs Sgorr Gaoith, Meall a Buachaille and Cairngorm itself. The area’s high tundra and pinewood forests are home to ptarmigan, capercaillie, red squirrels and osprey, and Britain’s only herd of reindeer. Daily hikes, graded mid-range to difficult, will vary between four and 23km. With departures in June and August 2018, the holiday costs from £1,495.

The other two new additions to the programme are a six-night luxury walking holiday on the North Highland coast, staying at an exclusive and luxurious Highland Lodge, and a two-country nine-night ‘Five UK National Parks’ tour which offers guests the chance to see the Cairngorms, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. Costing £2,195 per person, the trip starts in Aviemore and ends in Penrith. Guests will stay nine nights in country inns and hotels, with all meals, transfers and guided hikes during the trip included.
