TUI To Launch Two New Flights to Croatia

Responding to increased demand from UK holidaymakers, TUI has announced the intoduction of holidays to a relatively unknown Croatian destination to the UK market and two direct weekly flights to Rijeka from Manchester and Gatwick from the May 23 next year.

TUI UK is the first major tour operator to launch holidays to two islands in Kvarner Bay in Croatia, Rab and Krk, located in the northern Adriatic sea, for summer 2019. TUI Airways will be the only airline to operate exclusively to Rijeka Airport in Kvarner Bay.

Kvarner Bay offers beautiful mountainous landscape, a mild sunny climate and crystal clear waters. The islands offer more than just beach appeal, with bustling towns and quaint fishing villages. Those searching for a more active break can enjoy cycling, biking, swimming and scuba diving.

TUI holidaymakers will fly direct to Rijeka on the island of Krk. TUI will offer three hotels on the island, including Corinthia Baska Sunny hotel by Valamar. Visitors can take in the history of Krk by visiting its castles, cathedrals and museums but for those who’re after a more typical summer holiday, the island offers established city beaches, swimming bays and lively bars and clubs. A ferry service on Krk takes visitors onward to nearby Rab, location of TUI’s new adults-only resort, TUI Sensimar Carolina, as well as two Platinum hotels.
