Sunvil/GIC Introduce Germania flights for 2013

Sunvil Holidays and sister company GIC The Villa Collection have jointly announced the introduction of a new airline for their Greece programme in summer 2013.

Germania will base one of its fleet of aircraft at Gatwick for the summer 2013 season to fly the Greece specialists' programme to the islands of Corfu, Kefalonia, Skiathos and Crete, as well as Samos and Lemnos and mainland airports such as Preveza, Volos and Kalamata.

In operation for over 30 years, Germania has an excellent reputation for its on-time performance.  Based out of Berlin’s Tegel International airport, the airline operates a fleet of 15 aircraft – nine Boeing 737-700s and six Airbus A319-100 aircraft.  With flights out of Germany operating under the Germania name, plus aircraft leased to carriers such as Air Berlin and charter services operated on behalf of tour operators, the airline has a good mix of business.

Sunvil and GIC have contracted full catering including hot meal service, a 20 kg baggage allowance and pre-allocated seating. Customers using the new service will be also be able to pre-book extras such as additional legroom or excess baggage.
