KLM New Amsterdam to Belfast Route

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced that it will launch a new route between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport in May this year, the only new route to the UK or Ireland in its 2015 expansion plans.

The daily return service has been welcomed by both tourism and business communities. Connectivity from Northern Ireland to South America, the Middle East and the Far East will be further strengthened through KLM’s membership of the SkyTeam Alliance along with international airlines such as Air France, Alitalia, China Southern Airlines, Aeroflot, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, Czech Airlines and Saudia. Schiphol is one of the busiest airports in Europe serving over 300 destinations and is an attractive superhub with quick and easy transfer facilities for passengers on popular routes such as Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Moscow, Johannesburg and Bangkok.

The news follows Vueling's announcement of plans to launch a twice-weekly service between Barcelona and Belfast, also in May 2015.

Seats on the Belfast City–Schiphol route are on sale now at: www.klm.com
