China Airlines will launch scheduled passenger services between Taipei and Heathrow on March 28 2010, the first direct flights between Taiwan and the UK.
The service will operate three times a week using Airbus A340-300 aircraft with 30 business-class seats and 246 economy-class seats. Return fares from London to Taipei start at £370.
China Airlines will now serve five destinations in Europe, with a total of 21 flights a week. Onward destinations include Bali and Sydney.
