AmaWaterways Burma Debut 2014

AmaWaterways is offering three cruise options in Myanmar (Burma) for the first time this year.

Cruises are onboard the all-suite 56-passenger river cruiser, the AmaPura, which launches on Myanmar’s Irrawaddy river in November 2014, making daily stops with included excursions and tours.

The 14-day 'Golden Treasures of Myanmar' itinerary in December 2014 costs from £4999 per person including flights, two nights' pre-cruise and one night post-cruise stay in Yangon, transfers to and from the ship, ten nights on the ship from Pyay to Mandalay, all tours, all meals, wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, on-board entertainment and lectures, plus port charges. Guests will visit sacred sites, small villages, craftsmen’s workshops, markets and Buddhist monasteries, and enjoy a full-day tour of Bagan and its rich collection of stupas, temples and pagodas. They will have the opportunity to take in the stunning view from atop Mt. Popa and visit the Golden City of Mandalay before returning to Yangon via plane for another overnight stay.

The same itinerary in reverse is also available, as is a 14-night/16-day 'Hidden Wonders of Myanmar' cruise departing in November 2014.
