Aegean Launches New Route from Birmingham

Greek carrier Aegean Airlines has announced that it will launch a twice-weekly Athens service from Birmingham on June 10 2014, operating each Tuesday and Saturday.

The flights will be operated using 168-seat Airbus A320 aircraft in a dual class configuration with full onboard service, which includes complimentary food and drink.

The new route will provide passengers from the Midlands with direct access to the Greek capital, as well as making it easier for them to continue their journey onwards to the Greek islands and across mainland Greece.

Business class passengers and Gold card members will have business lounge access at Birmingham Airport and Gold card members are also eligible for extra baggage allowance.

Aegean has announced plans to add 15 new destinations in 2014 bringing its total of international destinations from Athens to 47. As well as Birmingham, these include Marseille, Nantes, Zurich, Hamburg, Hanover, Nuremberg, Copenhagen, Catania, Abu Dhabi, Beirut and Paphos.
