Parking in London: Avoid Congestion Charges

Whether you live and work in the capital or you’re planning a city break, London is home to a rich history and fantastic attractions. But of course, it is always good to know the easy ways to avoid the Congestion Charge and the ULEZ Charges. These are as follows:

The Congestion Charge applies during the following times: 07:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday

The charge also applies on the following public holidays:

New Years Day

Good Friday

Easter Monday

May Day Bank Holiday

Spring Bank Holiday

August Bank Holiday

Christmas Day

Boxing Day(Days in lieu of Christmas or Boxing day falling on a weekend)

The ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) charge is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Q-Park has 7 secure car parks outside the congestion zone and ULEZ, conveniently located close to tube stations to assist you on your journey:

Park Lane

Marble Arch

Queensway

Knightsbridge

Pimlico

St Johns Wood

Tower Bridge

Church Street

So, if you need to travel into central London, you can park and use the tube for the the last few miles to avoid charges.

With car parks situated less than 100m from a tube station entrance, and car parks conveniently situated on main routes just outside the zone you can choose to avoid the charge in one of the car parks listed above, or pay the congestion charge and park in one of our more central car parks.
